Hankook’s revolutionary K110 V12 Evo has scored top marks in a recent Car and Driver Magazine test, falling only 3 points below the top spot. Car and Driver tested nine of the most popular tyre brands in the sub us$140.00 category and the Evo V12 was assessed as the top tyre for braking, second best in the skidpad run and earned the distinction of being “deceptively quick”.
The tester went on to label the V12 Evo as being “best around the track” an impressive and well rounded summer tyre”and “extremely consistent”. The Ventus V12 Evo bettered its competitors in almost every test criteria – braking, safety, road noise (quiet), and cost/value which has become a huge focus point with consumers. It was also rated as the best tyre for sound level.
Highlights of this back to back tyre test results include:
1st place in wet performance braking
1st place in wet performance skidpad run
1st place in sound level subjective testing
2nd place in pricing
2nd place in wet performance autocross
2nd place in dry performance skidpad run
This is a remarkable tyre brimming with technical innovation like enriched silica compound content and 3 dimensional tread.
In practical terms, the K110 Evo delivers brilliant, enhanced on road performance in ultra high performance cars. one of our customers fitted a set to his chipped Holden R8 V8 Commodore. He came back to Megatyre a few days later to let us know how they were doing. “I am not loosing it in the dry any more” was his first and very happy compliment. Then I asked him “what about in the wet” to which he replied “of course it still looses it in the wet”! Which of course is totally logical, Holden V8’s are legendry for burnouts and no tyre has any hope of controlling this V8 beast in the wet!
But all of this underscores the brilliance of this Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tyre, it is a wonderful performance tyre performing way better than the Famous old Brand tyres” formerly fitted to our customers Holden R8. *
