The new European Union Tyre Labels have arrived in New Zealand, quicker than expected, on every Green Max Eco Tyre. These EU labels are now mandatory on every tyre sold in Europe after 01-11-2012 and provide consumers with a transparent benchmark on which to base their tyre purchase decisions.
These labels provide full details of tyres on road performance, fuel economy and noise levels having been subjected to an official and consistent testing regime. Consumers are no longer reliant on the often dodgey and biased advice of tyre shops.
Will all tyres sold in New Zealand feature these EU labels in future? No way! These labels are not mandatory here and many tyres sold in New Zealand would receive shocking test results. It will be interesting to see how many local tyre companies have sufficient confidence in their products to affix EU Test Labels to them.
The Green Max Eco Tyre is an international product sold in large volumes in Europe and has scored well in EU tests. Finally we have a super low priced, high quality Green tyre at prices the masses can afford with great fuel economy and green attributes, without any compromise in durability or performance.
EU Tyre Labels are going to change consumers buying patterns as these labels will become very influential in tyre selection and further drive the trend to Eco Tyres.
