Hankook K102
The Hankook K102 was the trail blazer for Silica Compound technology and TCT (Trapezoid Contour Theory) profile technology and the first pattern in the now legendary Ventus Tyre series. Launched at a time when Directional patterned tyres were king of the tyre market, the K102 surprised many people with its quiet ride, great handling and long life; especially at a time when directional tyres of this standard were the exception. Suddenly it was possible to fit directional tyres that were not noisy and rough riding.
The K102 was a fine looking tyre and always a strong seller at Megatyre over the 4 years it was made by Hankook with many customers remaining loyal to the pattern while it was available. Since then Hankook have launched a galaxy of high performance tyres like the peerless 3 dimensional tread K110 and more recently the revolutionary asymmetric patterns like the K107, K114, K115 and K117 which have introduced us to new standards of fuel economy, road holding, low noise levels and comfort which were unthinkable 5 years ago.
