Latest news from Hankook’s mid market Laufenn tyre story is the release of the LK41 G Fit EQ passenger car tyre in over 10 popular 14, 15, 16 and 17 inch sizes with more to come.
An all season asymmetric pattered tyre, the LK41 excels on both wet and dry tarmac surfaces and offers motorists secure driving over the tyres life. A true high performance tyre, the G Fit EQ provides drivers with better braking, fuel efficiency and wet and dry handling allied with superb comfort and low noise levels.
Laufenn have adopted brilliant new handling and cornering technology* for the LH41 including optimised stiffness distribution design, tie-bars and belt edge tapes with tyre structure engineering innovations** like equilibrium carcass line design, adoption of high-hardness bead fillers, 1 or 2 layer jointless nylon full cover and half-depth of outer lateral grooves for great steering and a comfortable ride.
One of our regular Megatyre customers is an avid Volvo fan and has recently been upgrading his cherished pristine Volvo V70 station wagon; after much research he decided on the Laufenn LK41 as the best available combination of performance characteristics, longevity and price for his V70. We fitted his new LK41’s on Friday along with a new set of rims and he came back on Saturday afternoon to let us know how delighted he is with his purchase.
Laufenn LK41 G Fit EQ, now available from Megatyre, Browns Bay, Auckland.
Belt edge tape
A folded belt edge tape design is incorporated between the tyre’s two tread belts to improve handling performance in high speed.
Tie-bars
Tie-bars that connect the shoulder blocks reinforce the stiffness of the shoulder tread providing maximum cornering grip whilst minimising irregular wear.
Optimised stiffness distribution design
An optimised three variable pitch stiffness distribution tread block design ensures minimum vibration and noise as well as improved riding comfort.
**Tyre Structure
1 or 2 Layer jointless nylon full cover
Maximises the tyres contact with the road for improved handling and tread life, (depending on the tyre size).
Equilibrium carcass line design
Minimizes tyre deformation and allows greater sidewall stiffness.
Half-depth of outer lateral groove
The differentiated groove depth reinforces both the in and outside block stiffness leading to an enhanced cornering and handling stability.
Adoption of high-hardness bead filler
Improves handling and steering response.
