Hot news from Germany is that Linglong of China, manufacturer of Green Max HP 010 tyres, has passed Volkswagen’s technical, manufacturing and management audit and become an official supplier of the Volkswagen Group.
The Car manufacturer states that Linglong tyres will appear as original equipment on vehicles made by Volkswagen “in the near future”.
Further encouraging Linglong news from France are the results from the 2017 All Season “Test World” tyre test for their Green Max HP 010 tyre which elevates the Green Max to “surprisingly good” status; better than all other Chinese Tyres and better in many respects than some “Famous Old Brand” tyres. As Linglong say “the gap between Chinese independent brands and overseas premium brands continues to narrow”. We agree!
Test World report the Green Max HP 010 has excellent grip on wet surfaces, low noise levels and average rolling resistance. The HP010’s wet surface braking was tested as being close to Michelin and superior to the Goodyear, Pirelli and Maxxis tyres tested. With regard to manoeuvrability on wet road surfaces, the Green Max was proven to out perform brands like Yokohama and Bridgestone. The Green Max HP 010 has proven to be an excellent All Season tyre with particular wet weather capability that is so important in wet New Zealand winters.
Crucially the Green Max is available at a fraction of the cost of competing Famous Old Brand tyres offering drivers affordable tyres with no compromise on road holding and comfort. Ten years ago it was unthinkable that the Chinese could make a good tyre; and now a Chinese tyre is starting to challenge the most famous brands in the tyre industry; a tyre revolution indeed!
